This weekend marks the first hot weekend of the season which is very exciting for some, and not so much for others. If you’re looking to make the most of the weather but without the crowds, I have you covered with my top 5 ways to spend a hot weekend in Sydney!

1. Secret Beaches In Sydney

If the idea of spending the day trying to find parking, only to sit on a beach that’s completely packed like Bondi isn’t exactly the idea of fun, I’ve found and visited some of the most amazing beaches in or near Sydney, you’ll have no idea they even existed! None of these are anywhere near the Eastern Suburbs so you can say goodbye to spending ages trying to find parking or even having to pay for most of them. You’ll be wondering how you didn’t know about these beaches already and most of all, blink twice and you could be in the Mediterranean in some of these places!

2. Wild Swimming

Fancy a bit more of an adventure than sitting on a beach? I’ve researched and tried and tested loads of wild swimming spots that I’ve compiled the best into my Top 9 Wild Swimming Spots. Wild Swimming usually requires a small and easy hike of between 30 minutes – 1 hour, but fear not, these are always the best hikes because the swimming holes at the end are amazing! You’ll also have most of them to yourself. Now that’s a way to spend the weekend!

3. Be Sun Safe

Make sure you’re sun safe as the sun is very strong in Australia. A complete game changer for me is the beach tent by Lovin Summer. Now, I can spend all day on the beach and not have to leave after 2 hours like I used to. I highly recommend Lovin Summer’s tents, they are easy to assemble and light weight.

4. Keep Hydrated

When it just gets all a bit too hot, my go to food is an acai bowl. This frozen acai berry, usually blended with frozen bananas and strawberries with granola and fresh fruit on top is the best cooling food to have when its hot. I’ve done my research, tried and tested the best acai bowls in Sydney into a post so you know where to go to get the best.
