Cheap Car Rental In Sydney With Orana

After living in Sydney for seven years, I’ve been meaning to tell you about a cheap car rental in Sydney. It’s just one of those topics that’s a bit of a lucky dip until you find the right company that’s decent and won’t rip you off.

Let me introduce you to Orana car and van rental in Sydney

We decided to get a removalist when we moved house once, which was a big mistake because they actually didn’t do anything and we had to move it all ourselves. It was such a waste of money that when we needed a van hire in Sydney again, I finally knew Orana car hire and truck rental was my go-to company.

Related post: thanks to Orana, I was able to go to see Gerringong Falls!

I’ve used Orana quite a few times in the past because not only are they great, friendly guys that run the company but they are cheap and reliable.

Why we would choose Orana car rental over GoGet in Sydney

When our old car broke down (many a time) we looked at getting something like a GoGet, but it was much cheaper to go to Orana, because they don’t charge any extra fees.

To rent a car in Sydney, Orana only charge $40 for a 1-2 day car hire. That’s it, no other fees other than the car rental cost which is amazing when you think about it; getting a taxi to most places in Sydney would probably cost more!

The cost goes down even further when you hire it for more than one day as well to just $25 a day if you hire it for 7 days. Obviously you have to make sure you bring the car back with a full tank of petrol and pay for any tolls yourself but otherwise, it was just $40 for the day.

They also offer UTEs as well from just $41.50 a day.

You also get the choice of three different van sizes, 1 tonne, 1.5 tonne or the big daddy – the hino truck. We got the small 1 tonne which was just perfect for our few remaining belongings we hadn’t chucked out or sold which when hired during the week is just $66 a day (Mon-Thurs) or $84 during weekends.

The good news is, it already comes with insurance and 150 KMs for free, all vans are automatic and they come with 24/7 roadside assistance. The plus for picking this cheap car hire in Sydney is because you’re not paying for anything other than the price of the car or van hire!

I’ve hired out cars when I’ve been up to Byron Bay with the flight booking sites and although I thought it was cheap at the time of booking, they always made me buy insurance which nearly doubled the cost of the actual rental.

Orana doesn’t charge you for anything else other than the car booking. Don’t expect to be asked to pay extra when you pick the car up.

Sounds too good to be true?

Just make sure you can pick up in either their Artarmon, Tempe or Chester Hill locations and you’ve got yourself a good deal. Also, as a 2018 update, they will be opening another office in Brisbane very soon too!

You can thank me later for finding you the best and cheapest car and van hire in Sydney!
