I Found The Best Engagement Rings In Sydney At Bert Jewellery
Wondering where to buy engagement rings in Sydney? Or even Australian engagement rings in general? We’re so glad we found Bert…
1. Go On A Picnic To A Private Beach

If you’re looking to do something really special, then you can’t go wrong with a private boat ride in a water limousine to a private beach with a picnic waiting for your arrival.
You’ll get the choice of two menus to decide between – seafood or antipasto. It also comes with a bottle of sparkling wine, picnic blankets, beach chairs and an umbrella.
It’s honestly one of the most romantic ways to propose in Sydney.
2. The Bible Garden, Palm Beach

We actually witnessed a proposal at The Bible Garden in Palm Beach just a couple of weeks ago. This gorgeous garden was literally deserted when we went there (apart from the couple who turned up as we were leaving).
It’s a beautiful quiet space which has a stunning view over looking Palm Beach and a bit of a local’s hidden gem in the area.
To be honest, this is a beautiful spot to propose, it’s no wonder you can actually get married here too.
3. Hunter Valley Private Balloon Ride

Another place we witnessed a proposal in Sydney was whilst sunrise hot air ballooning in the Hunter Valley. Although it’s not technically in Sydney, it’s worth a trip because you can actually book your own balloon. Plus expect champagne as well!
4. Stay At A Beautiful Hotel In Blue Mountains

If your idea of the best proposal is to stay in an uber romantic hotel, then you can’t go wrong with Eagle View Escape. Here in the Blue Mountains, they have six spa rooms to choose from, specifically catering for couples only.
You can choose from various packages from self cooking options and in house chef options so you technically won’t even need to leave your room. Sounds like bliss to us!
5. Audley Rowing Boats

Did you know Steve proposed to me on a rowing boat? It was the most romantic moment of my life and one I won’t forget in a hurry.
He did this because we had a really special moment together when we went on a rowing boat at Audley in The Royal National Park when we first got together.
The beauty about this proposal idea in Sydney is it won’t cost you much, you just need to time it right. I suggest either going first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon when there’s less people around. (They open from 9am – 5pm daily). Bring a picnic to have with your on the grounds there either afterwards or before.
You could then go for a beautiful walk in the National Park afterwards – Wattamolla to Big Marly is a gorgeous hike, or drive on down to The Scarborough Hotel for a celebratory drink out on their cliff top terrace.
6. Go On A Seaplane And Stay At Jonah’s

One of the most amazing and memorable things to do in Sydney is to go on a seaplane to Jonah’s Boutique Hotel & Restaurant.
The seaplane ride absolutely amazing – just you wait when you turn the corner at North Head, it’s incredible!
If you’ve not been to Jonah’s Boutique Hotel & Restaurant yet, put it on your list. Honestly this Sydney hotel is amazing.
We can’t think of a more beautiful way to propose to your loved one than doing this experience.
7. Private Sunset Cruise

Imagine sailing around Sydney Harbour on your own private boat for the evening before you pop the question? This two hour experience includes a seafood dinner which is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to create a memorable engagement in Sydney.
8. Stay At The Love Cabins

A friend of mine proposed to his girlfriend when they stayed at Love Cabins – a treehouse based in the Blue Mountains.
Now this place is pretty cool – you can order a chef to come and cook you dinner and there’s a glow worm tour you can go on in the evening.
Escape the crowds and come to this beautiful and unique getaway from Sydney. If you’re wondering where to propose in Sydney, it doesn’t get more unique than this. But be warned – it’s not a five star luxury retreat, this is more for the adventurous types who love the wilderness.
9. Sunrise Kayak On Sydney Harbour
Another unique Sydney proposal idea would be to do it whilst you’re kayaking around Sydney Harbour at Sunrise. You can actually book a private tour which would be really special.
10. Find The Secret Harbour Walk

Another place I’ve seen a couple of proposals is down on the water in Kirribilli. There’s a beautiful walk which takes you along the harbour with a few lookout points. I’ve seen people actually propose on the jetty’s before and it’s certainly an amazing spot.
All you need to do is start at Waruda Street, walk down by Marry Booth Lookout Reserve which is a brilliant spot for a picnic, then down the steps and along the water. There’s a few little jettys you can walk out onto which have a spectacular view of Sydney Harbour.
It’s the perfect spot to propose especially if you pick sunset to do it.
11. Wendy’s Secret Garden

Just along the water from the proposal spot in Kirribilli is another proposal spot at Wendy’s Secret Garden. Although it’s not exactly a secret anymore, we’ve witnessed proposals and weddings taking place at the stunning garden in the city.
It really is amazingly beautiful and somewhere everyone should visit when in Sydney.
12. Tarpeian Precinct Lawn
When we worked in the middle of the city, we used to go to the Tarpeian Precinct Lawn all of the time after work.
It’s one of those proper little gems which has a cracking view overlooking Sydney Harbour Bridge but without the crowds. Bring a picnic with you and propose at sunset!
13. Climb The Sydney Harbour Bridge
And finally, if you’re wondering where to propose in Sydney, it doesn’t get much more memorable than to propose on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The good news is, the staff at Sydney Bridge Climb are so professional, they actually have a secret code word you can use when you want to drop on one knee.
