Autumn is upon us and it’s time to start switching up your wardrobe choices. It’s that time of year I find that I forget how I dressed in winter as I’ve become too familiar with wearing strappy shoes and wearing practical clothes to beat Sydney’s humidity. It doesn’t take me long to realise that I much much prefer winter dressing as the layering commences. Out come the beautiful winter coats and soft cashmere jumpers. But what I’m really lusting over this season is jeans and boots.
Denim is massive this season. Back again are nineties inspired mom jeans, boyfriend jeans and DIY cropped flares worn with a tall ankle boot for a modern twist.
I love the simplicity of this look.
I love the mix of fishnets which has been a huge trend recently
I love the DIY flared look worn with oversized knits and boyfriend shirts
Tailored pants are also cut off above the ankle for a beautiful luxe take on the 70’s trend that’s still lurking around again this season.
Patent ankle boots have been huge in the UK and continue on with the perspex heel.
I’m also a big fan of the printed floral shirt worn with a cordoroy dungaree for a great 70’s twist.
For a classic block out look, head for inspiration from Sydney’s Instagram star Miss Gunner for her staple blocked out camel and grey tones, a style that never gets tired.
Another trend I absolutely adore is the Victorian trend, a stylish modern luxe look that can easily be worn in both summer and winter.

Zimmermann nail this trend. Wear with a beautiful luxe coat or with a leather jacket to give it some edge.
Because the weather is generally amazing during winter in Sydney, white jeans can be easily pulled off. Here are some styling tips.
I really love the earthy tones which makes a great autumn outfit!
Another great outfit – the mix of blues, greys and white are perfect together!
Still lurking round is the shearing coat originally made famous by Acne.
I’ll be sporting my Zara one above to keep me warm.
And you can’t go wrong with a bit of Khaki to make the transition from summer to autumn.
Pair khaki with tans, creams and whites for a crisp, autumnal look.
